Check whether ads are cannibalizing orders

See whether extra ad spend grows your order book or only relabels orders you would have won anyway.

Use it when ad-attributed orders keep rising but total orders do not, or before raising spend on a shop that already sells well on its own.

What you get

A grounded view of whether more ad spend adds orders, with the limits of the evidence stated.

Works on

  • Shopee
Runs on your connected Shopee shops.

Starter prompt

Using the cannibalization evidence for my Shopee shop, tell me whether extra ad spend appears to move orders I would have won anyway. State the status, the date window and what the evidence cannot prove.

Steps

  1. Open Ads > Cannibalization on a Shopee shop. See Cannibalization.
  2. Read the header status first. No signal means the test ran and found nothing; Not admitted means the shop lacks enough classified history to run it. They are different answers.
  3. Look at the rolling cannibalization index (CI) chart and the single BCE figure beside it.
  4. Read Book exposure as the share of your order book at risk at the dose you actually spend.
  5. Treat every figure as observational evidence, not proof, and compare with True ROAS before cutting spend.
